This year, Audi has has finally delivered a refresh for it's resident Super-Sports car, the R8. The face lift includes sharper lines to match the new brand image spread that has already given birth to a new Audi TT, Audi A6, and Audi A4. While we may not be getting a fanatical Audi Rs8 version, here's what else Audi has added to the improvements list.
- The new R8 V10 plus generate 610 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to hit a top speed of 205 mph on the track.
- The new Audi R8 was developed alongside the Audi R8 LMS racecar, and as a result, they share 50% of the same parts. This also includes the naturally aspirated Audi V10 engine.
- The Audi R8 V10 plus shed 77 pounds over the base model R8 and features carbon ceramic brakes, a carbon fiber rear diffuser, front lip spoiler, a fixed rear wing, and racing shell seats as standard. The racing shell seats are also a first for the US spec Audi R8.
- A brand new seven speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission allows you to hit the top speed in sixth gear.
