The opener for the 2015 Atlanta International Auto Show was none other than the all new Mercedes-Benz AMG GTS. Another collaboration between the the German tuner and the German automaker have brought forth the supposed successor to the famed SLS AMG.
Dropping the gull-wing doors and picking up a 2015 sense of refinement, the AMG GTS sure is stunning. But those killer looks are not to be taken lightly.
The GTS is bringing in impressive 503 HP from a mere twin turbo V8 engine. That'll propel you from 0-60 in 3.7 seconds, which is quite close to hyper-car standards considering that the GTS is only a sports car meant to compete with the like of Porsche's 911, you're getting the best of both worlds. And the price for the burly beast, about $130,000 US, which is a whole Chevrolet Corvette less than the SLS. We'll even argue that this is the best valued automobile in the entire segment, beating the 911 which is the front runner for the high performance mid-sized sports car market. It hasn't done it willfully but the 911 has passed the thrones to the new
Mercedes-Benz AMG GTS.
